Marvel.com has an X3 feature up on their site now. The release date is currently set as May 26, 2006. You can see pics of characters that will appear in the movie, including Beast, Angel, and and the newly resurfaced Jean Grey. That’s right Jean Grey! Although I’m guessing no one really thought she was dead, my bet is that she will return as Phoenix.
According to Comics Continuum:
The first trailer for the third X-Men movie had more than 1 miilion online views in the first 24 hours after it was posted online, according to 20th Century Fox.
In other X3 news:
* Dania Ramirez is playing Callisto. She is perhaps best known as Caridad from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Her previous credits also include Fat Albert and She Hate Me.
In the film, Callisto sides with Magneto’s Brotherhood.
* Cerebro will not be featured in the third film, The Continuum has learned.
* Look for a promotion tie-in from Mercedes Benz.
* Gambit is not in the film.

Marvel.com has recently begun adding new Digital Comics to their site. Currently, they have new She-Hulk, Captain America and Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man. They have a search feature as well. I tried to search for other titles though, and all I got were the ones that were already on there.

Okay, this is my first giveaway on Superhero Sightings. Here are the details. Currently, up for grabs is a loose Marvel Figure Factory Unmasked Spider-man chase figure. This is one of the blind boxed mystery figures that show up in each case. It has been opened and put together, but all the pieces are included. To enter, all you have to do is post a comment at the bottom of this post. That’s it!
There are a few rules though. First, when you post, include a valid e-mail address where you can be contacted. After that, you can say what you like but please try to keep it positive. Inappropriate comments will be deleted, and you will not be entered in the contest. You can comment as much as you like, but you can only enter yourself once. Next Monday, I will randomly pick the winner, and post it on this site. I will try to post pictures of the item ASAP, so stay tuned for that. Good luck, and let the fun begin!

Needless to say this is a disappointment, but at least they are doing something about it. If you don’t know what I am talking about, this is the left arm of Apocalypse that comes with the Maestro figure in Marvel Legends series 12. It is missing the plastic tube that connects the arm to the back.

Fox has green-lighted a sequel to Fantastic Four that is scheduled to be released on July 4, 2007. Fox is bringing back director Tim Story, but Julian McMahon, who played Dr. Doom, will not be back. If all goes well with the script, Story expects to roll cameras on Fantastic Four 2 early next year. It’s biggest competition will be Spider-man 3 which is scheduled to open in May 2007. This was posted on Comcast.net earlier today. Read the full story here, http://www.comcast.net/entertainment/index.jsp?fn=106072.html.

First of all I would like to say that I can’t believe that it has been four months and that this is my 100th post on Superhero Sightings. If I have any regular readers out there, I would like to say thanks. I plan to keep on doing this whether anyone reads or not because I enjoy it, but I would love to have people read this and find it useful. I just completed the new design and plan on promoting this blog and attracting more readers. So stay tuned because interesting things are in the works! Now, onto the news.
The Fantastic Four DVD arrives in stores this Tuesday. Here is the movie (widescreen version) Amazon. Here are the details on what is included in this DVD.
- Cast Commentary
- 3 deleted scenes
- The Fantastic Tour: Exclusive behind-the-scenes home video hosted by the entire cast
- Making of Fantastic Four
- Fox Movie Channel Presents Casting Session & Making A Scene
- Music videos: Everything Burns, Come On Come In, Music
- Exclusive inside look at X-Men 3 - hosted by producer Avi Arad
Looks like if you are thinking about getting it, there are plenty of features for you. Don’t kid yourself though, odds are they will release a Special Edition version sometime in the future though as they do with every movie now, so if you pass on it now more than likely you will have another chance.

Spider-man Classics series 16 have been found in the US. You can review the thread, Toy News International Forums -> New Spiderman Classic Figures Are Out, here. This is the series with Man-Wolf and Venom. It also includes two pretty slick looking new versions of Spidey himself. Reports I have read are saying that they are being found on the west and east coast.
