We are taking pre-orders again for the Spider-man 3 mini busts from Diamond Select with sculpts by Gentle Giant . Also, we are finally allowed to show the photography for these busts so each product has been updated with the images. At the pre-order price, these won’t last long so get your orders in. The cut off date for pre-orders on these is March 11.

The Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi mini bust from Gentle Giant has been delayed again. Gentle Giant recently announced on their blog that the release date was being pushed back from May to June. Now, we have received notice that it will be pushed back from June 27th to July 25th.

Just got this news today. The Han Solo on Tauntaun statue and Jango Fett mini bust release dates are being pushed back. Han Solo will now be released on April 25, 2007, and Jango Fett will now be released on May 30, 2007.
In fact, almost all of Gentle Giant future releases are being pushed back lately, especially Star Wars. In addition to the 2 just mentioned, the Jedi Luke Skywalker, Zuckuss, and Obi-Wan Kenobi mini busts have all been pushed back a month each. They are known for pushing back release dates, but lately have seemed to have a problem releasing product on the announced dates. What can you say? You want them to be perfect don’t you?
In related news, the G.I. Joe Snake Eyes mini bust has also been pushed back to February 28, 2007.

Gentle Giant announced on their blog last week that two upcoming products will each be pushed back by a month due to quality control issues. The Animated Boba Fett Maquette will ship in October instead of September, and the Animated Princess Leia Maquette will ship in November instead of October.
Gentle Giant also announced edition sizes of some upcoming products. The Strider Ringbearer mini bust is set at 2000 pieces, and the Ringwraith Ringbearer mini bust is set at 2000 pieces. The Plo Koon mini bust is set at 4500 pieces, and the Obi-Wan Kenobi in Clone Trooper Armor statue is set at 2500 pieces.
