Hasbro’s new network “The Hub” which is a joint venture with Discovery Communications today announced it’s starting line-up of shows to air on the new network, which launches on October 10, 2010. G.I.Joe: Renegadeswill be one of those shows debuting for the network’s launch.
Company Icon Heroes will be doing a line of 6-inch and under scale statues, vehicle replicas, environments and dioramas from Thundercats. Though these will have no articulation, these 6″ “Staction” figures are the closest things fans have gotten to action figures since the original toyline was released back in the 80′s by LJN.
Spy Monkey Creations has given us an early look at their Shield of Destruction and Shield of Deliverance, which are available starting today. These shields are designed to complement any 6 or 7-inch action figure line, but as you can see from the pics, it is obvious that these shields were inspired by the Masters of the Universe Classics toyline. The colors and deco match certain characters of MOTUC, and the design/look of the shields perfectly blend with the figures.
The title here is misleading as one of the main points the article makes is that most of the comics available on the iPad are not new or current which may contribute to piracy.
A look at Hasbro’s upcoming G.I. Joe: Pursuit of Cobra Spirit Iron Knife figure which is a tribute to Billy from the first Predator movie. The figure will be sold as a Toy “R” Us exclusive and should be out later this year.
You may remember that in December last year, test shots for 6-inch scaled Titanium Man and Crimson Dynamo figures started appearing on eBay. We got a closer look at a pair of the test shots in January. Apparently, more of these test shots have continued to make their way to eBay, and Fwoosher Atgscl went through the trouble to paint his set.
The van looks good. I hope they prove me wrong, but I’m not getting my hopes up for the rest. Exactly what you would expect from Jazwares.
This wave includes the following figures: Iron Patriot, Iron Spider-Man, Mary Jane Watson, Skrull Soldier, Winter Soldier and the Wrecker. A very solid wave, especially with the Winter Soldier and the Wrecker.
The newest issue of Toy Fare magazine has an article about this year’s Marvel based San Diego Comic Con exclusives from Hasbro. In the article, it reveals that Hasbro will NOT be doing a Marvelman, or better known to some as Miracleman figure, as was previously rumored earlier this year.
Other exclusives mentioned in the article are the previously announced 3.75″ Marvel Universe “Ages of Thunder Thor” and “World War II Ultimate Captain America” figures. Both will have cardback art drawn by Joe Quesada as well.

Radio Big Boy recently conducted an interview with Samuel L. Jackson and he dropped a huge Marvel bomb. While talking about his nine picture deal with Marvel and confirming that he won’t be in Thor, he revealed this:
“The Avengers should start shooting some time next year, and then some time after that there’ll be a big S.H.I.E.L.D. movie.”

Like the other Marvel Universe exclusives for SDCC this year, the Galactus packaging will feature artwork by Joe Quesada, and will come in a case with handle to make lugging him around the show floor that much easier.

Awesome photo gallery of the just announced Hot Toys Marvel Movie Masterpiece Series Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Black Widow. Hot Toys is the best 1/6th scale company around right now, and they are doing some of their best work ever on this line.
The exclusive Captain Rex is sold out, but you can still pre-order the regular version. I pre-ordered the exclusive. The price is steep, but a must-have if you are collecting Sideshow’s clone troopers, IMO. The switch-out heads and the jet pack seal it. I’m not sure what the 2 sets of feet are about though.
Detailed photos of the regular version of The Clone Wars General Skywalker 1/6 Scale Figure, Sideshow Collectibles first 1/6 scale figure based on The Clone Wars television series. For the record, I skipped this one, and I’m not missing it.
